The key principles I bring to my work are:
> A belief in prevention and the promotion of resilience factors
> A desire to hear and use the views of children, young people and their families
> An understanding that some children have a multiplicity of additional needs, which require careful planning and targeting of provision
> A clear view that a range of agencies need to respond to local issues together and not in isolation and with a shared set of aims and objectives
> A commitment to inclusion where diversity is celebrated and respected and mainstream services work to include all children and young people
> The knowledge that to deliver good services, there must be good strategic planning and commissioning, service management and committed and valued practitioners.
> A commitment to evidence-based working where conclusions and recommendations are on gathered hard and soft intelligence and where evaluation is embedded, not added on.
